Captain

Victor Lin
He/Him [email protected] University of Ottawa Equestrian Team The captain is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team, and ensuring all members, coaches and horses are well taken care of. They also are responsible for scheduling lessons at our training facility, Wesley Clover Parks, to ensure all members meet their training requirements. As the team leader, the captain attends every competition and ensure the team runs as smoothly as possible.

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for ensuring the executive is organized and helping plan events for the team. They work closely with the captain and have strong communication with the team, ensuring important dates and information are passed to all current and prospective members!

Events and Communication Coordinator
|
The Events and Communication Coordinator is responsible for planning team events and fundraisers, for keeping the social media platforms up to date, creating new partnerships and maintaining a good team image. They work with team members to ensure that we have opportunities for team involvement outside of horse shows and lessons!

IHSA Assistant Captain and Lesson Coordinator
|
The IHSA Assistant Captain is responsible for organizing and planning transportation, accommodation, and entry forms for every IHSA show throughout the year. They ensure all IHSA rules and regulations are followed by our riders while attending shows, and that all riders are properly qualified in their division.
The Lesson Coordinator is responsible for planning weekly lessons. They maintain communication with Wesley Clover Parks and our coaches to create a semester-long lesson schedule that respects both a riders class schedule and Wesley Clover Park's availability.

OCEA Assistant Captain

The OCEA Assistant Captain is responsible for organizing and planning transportation, accommodation, and entry forms for every OCEA show throughout the year. They act as liaison for the team with the OCEA Zone Executive to ensure all rules and regulations are followed when our team hosts a show.

Treasurer
|
The Treasurer is in charge of managing and distributing our Team's financing. The organization of this job is vital to our Team! The Treasurer will collect money and manage show expenses alongside the OCEA/IHSA Show Managers throughout the year.
